China has launched its mysterious spacecraft

China has launched a type of spacecraft that will be possible to use more than once, and it is assumed that it is a space plane.

Many compare the Chinese spacecraft to the American mysterious X-37B plane, which is currently in Earth orbit. Reportedly, the Chinese spacecraft will remain in orbit for some time, and China claims that it is a “peaceful use of space”, writes The Verge.

The appearance of the mentioned spacecraft is not known because there are no official renderings or photos. However, earlier this year, rumors surfaced that the spacecraft should be launched in 2020, if the claims of freelance journalist Andrew Jones are to be believed.

“China has been researching different concepts of spacecraft for space exploration for several years,” Jones told for The Verge, and Chinese media reported in 2017 that they were working on a type of experimental spacecraft that could be used multiple times and could land horizontally.

China is very mysterious about this mission and there is hardly any information available. Jones noted that speculation became more intense after China made modifications to its launch pad intended for Long March 2F rockets in downtown Jiuquan for satellite launches.

Prior to the launch of the spacecraft, pilots were warned to avoid the location as the launch of the Long March 2F rocket would follow. The Chinese news agency Xinhua reported that the launch was a success, adding that it was “a spacecraft that can be used multiple times.” But it is not yet known what the mission of the spacecraft is in orbit.
