The US space agency NASA announced that an asteroid will pass by the Earth on November 2.
The asteroid is known as “2018VP1” and is just under two meters in diameter, so it is estimated that its impact on our planet will most likely be small.
Interestingly, the asteroid will pass by the Earth the day before the presidential elections in the United States, which are currently affected by the coronavirus pandemic, civil unrest and political divisions, CNN reports.
The asteroid was first identified at the Palomar Observatory in California in 2018, and NASA experts have calculated that the percentage of probability that the asteroid will hit the Earth is 0.41 percent.
