Clinical trials of this vaccine are scheduled to be completed in January 2021.
Russia’s Chumakov Science and Research Center, which has developed a vaccine against COVID-19, has applied for an international tender announced by the World Health Organization for supplies of such a vaccine, said Aydar Ishmukhametov, president of the center’s scientific council.
“We have applied to the World Health Organization’s international tender for the delivery of vaccines,” Ishmukhametov told TASS, adding that the Chumakov Center is the only vaccine manufacturer in Russia that has been audited by the SZO and exports vaccines to more than 50 countries.
Ishmukhametov noted that the center will be able to deliver its vaccine against COVID-19 to other countries only when Russia fully meets its needs in that regard.
Clinical trials of the vaccine are scheduled to be completed in January 2021, writes TASS.
