As they point out from Xiaomi, the go-kart is designed specifically for racing and drifting, and it is up to the drivers to choose which style they want to drive – safe, beginner, sport or track.
Chinese electronic giant Xiaomi is best known for its smartphones, wearables and home devices. But he could soon become famous for his electric vehicles as well. Namely, Xiaomi has joined forces with Italian sports car manufacturer Lamborghini to create an electric vehicle that many can only dream of.
And while many would think it would mean Lamborghini makes an electric sports car for the Chinese market, they would be mistaken. It is an electric go-kart vehicle that should be a combination of Lamborghini’s GoKart and Xiaomi’s electric scooter with Ninebot. Thus the scooter can be detached and used separately.
The Ninebot GoKart Pro Lamborghini, as the vehicle is officially called, retains the classic Lamborghini elements (distinctive yellow color, sporty look, Lamborghini typography and logo), but is designed with Xiaomi’s “under the hull” technology.
As they point out from Xiaomi, the go-kart is designed specifically for racing and drifting, and it is up to the drivers to choose which style they want to drive – safe, beginner, sport or track. However, in order to feel the “luxury of Lamborghini” on the go-kart track, drivers will be able to enjoy music coming from four built-in speakers, which they will be able to play via Bluetooth from their own smartphone.
For those who love the sound of the engine, they made sure that while driving an electric go-kart, they sound like they are driving Lamborghini sports cars with V8 or V12 engines. Safety is ensured by a reinforced steel construction, and speed by a powerful 432 W battery, which provides a speed of 40 kilometers per hour.
According to Xiaomi, the go-kart can take 62 laps on a 400-meter-long track with a single charge (about 25 kilometers). What is even more interesting is the fact that this go-kart can be folded and thus fit in the average trunk of a car. The only problem is that this go-kart will be available (at least for now) only in China, at a price of around $ 1,500.
